Mechanical Heating, Cooling & Electrical

Jellyfish permanent outdoor lighting

Color-changing Jelly Lights installed under your eaves, ready for every holiday, every evening and every game day, all year long.

JellyFish Jelly Lights in Metro Detroit

Climbing ladders every November to hang lights, then taking them down again in January, gets old fast. Mechanical Heating, Cooling & Electrical now installs JellyFish Jelly Lights, a permanent eave lighting system that stays on your home all year and is controlled from your phone.

Our licensed electricians handle the full installation, from measuring your roofline and color matching the track to your soffit, to mounting the controller and setting up the app with you before we leave.

What Are JellyFish Jelly Lights?

Jelly Lights are individually addressable LED lights mounted in a slim aluminum track under your roofline. Each light can show any of over 16 million colors, including a full range of warm and cool whites, so the same system works for holiday displays and everyday accent lighting.

Jelly Lights are a great fit when you want to:

  • Stop hanging and storing seasonal lights every year
  • Show off your home’s peaks, gables and rooflines at night
  • Add bright white lighting around your home for security
  • Decorate for holidays, birthdays and game days from your phone

Not sure if your home is a good fit? We’ll walk your roofline during a free estimate and recommend the right layout.

One System for Every Occasion

Because each light is controlled on its own, Jelly Lights can switch from a quiet warm white to a full holiday display in seconds.

Holidays

Choose from hundreds of preset patterns for Christmas, Halloween, the Fourth of July and more, with no ladders or extension cords.

Everyday accent

Highlight your architecture with warm whites from 2700K to 5000K for a clean, finished look every night.

Security

Set a bright, cool white around your home to light up dark corners and help deter unwanted visitors.

Gameday

Schedule your team's colors before kickoff and show your Detroit pride up and down the street.

Residential Electrical Service Changes

Homeowners often schedule service changes when updating older electrical systems or planning upgrades like remodeling, EV chargers, or new circuits.

We help homeowners improve electrical safety and performance through service changes that support:

  • New electrical capacity needs
  • Updated equipment and appliances
  • Remodels and additions
  • Long-term reliability and peace of mind

Nearly Invisible During the Day

Jelly Lights sit inside a low-profile track that we color match to your soffit during the initial measurement. All wiring runs inside the track, with attic jumps and no power supplies mounted on the outside of your home.

The result is a system you can barely see from the street in daylight, which makes Jelly Lights a popular choice in HOA neighborhoods.

We offer track styles for flat soffits, angled soffits, homes with no soffit, beams and pergolas, and curved structures, so nearly any roofline can be fitted.

JellyFish Lighting FAQs

Are Jelly Lights only for Christmas?

No. Jelly Lights stay up year-round and can show warm white accent lighting, bright security lighting, team colors or any holiday theme, all from the app.

Can you see the lights during the day?

Very little. The track is color matched to your soffit and all wiring is enclosed, so the system blends into your home in daylight.

Do I need WiFi?

The controller connects to 2.4 GHz WiFi for app and smart home control, but it also works without WiFi using the buttons on the controller.

Do I need a special outlet?

The system plugs into a standard 110V outlet near the controller location. If there isn’t one in the right spot, our electricians can add a new outlet during the same visit.

What happens if one light goes out?

Jelly Lights use a 4-wire design with redundant data, so the rest of the lights keep working if one fails.

How much electricity do they use?

Each light uses less than 1 watt even at full bright white, so running them every night adds very little to your energy bill.

Will they hold up in Michigan winters?

Yes. The lights use weather-resistant 16-gauge wire and sealed construction with no individual connection points, and they are UL Certified and ETL Listed for permanent outdoor use.
